Abstract

On November 21, 2022, an earthquake with its epicenter near Cianjur damaged numerous structures, including homes, schools, and mosques. The types of building structures in Cianjur generally consist of brick buildings, concrete structures and wooden structures with damage varying from light to heavy damage. Public facility buildings affected by the Cianjur earthquake were school buildings and mosques. The level of damage to school and mosque buildings can be classified using a form from BNPB together with DAPODIK, the value of the damage to the building is reviewed based on the percentage of building damage in each part of the building. The building parts evaluated are general parts, structural parts and non-structural parts. Examples of damage that can occur are cracks in walls, cracks in structural components, damage to the roof structure, as well as serious damage such as tilted buildings, collapsed buildings, or even completely destroyed buildings. Damage to school and mosque buildings in Cianjur can be minimized by following design regulations for buildings and carrying out supervision for new buildings, and providing recommended strengthening measures for existing buildings.
