Abstract

This research aims to develop a mathematical model of a DC servo motor with a coreless rotor type 18105, which offers a low-cost solution. The model is implemented and tested using MATLAB software for performance analysis. A DC servo motor is a type of DC motor equipped with a feedback system to regulate position and speed. In this study, technical data from the motor datasheet is used to develop the transfer function of the system. Two scenarios are tested: open loop and closed loop systems. Simulation results show that the closed loop system performs better than the open loop system in terms of rise time, settling time, and overshoot. This study highlights the importance of feedback systems in improving the performance of DC servo motors, and the implementation of this mathematical model in MATLAB provides an effective tool for the analysis and design of DC servo motor control systems.
