There are 129 billion face masks used every month. According to LIPI data, the amount of hazardous and toxic waste (B3) in Indonesia, including masks and personal protective equipment (PPE), reached 1,662.75 tons during the pandemic, which is from March to September 2020. In the capital city of DKI Jakarta itself, there has been more than 1,500 kg of disposable mask waste from households since the beginning of the pandemic in April 2020. This is a new environmental problem, which has long been an environmental issue.Disposable masks are generally made of non-woven fabric made from polypropylene plastic. Plastic is difficult to degrade, It is estimated that it will take 100 to 500 years for the plastic to decompose completely. Due to the fast-changing trends in fashion, the fashion industry is expected to absorb the maximum amount of this waste. This study processes the experimental results of non-woven textiles from disposable mask waste.
