The fuel pump system in the Airbus A320 aircraft serves the function of supplying fuel from the tank to the aircraft's engine. Failure in the operation of this system can lead to consequences ranging from minor to fatal. To prevent failures in the fuel pump system, it is crucial to identify the factors that can impede its operation. In this research, data on fuel pump system failures were collected from aircraft maintenance logs and aircraft documents providing insights into the causal factors of system failures. Once the data on fuel pump system failures were obtained, it was analyzed using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method and a fishbone diagram. Based on the available data, the primary causes of fuel pump system failures in the Airbus A320 aircraft were identified as mechanical damage to the pump, relay malfunctions, and circuit breaker issues. To prevent fuel pump damage, it is recommended to conduct regular inspections. These inspections should be carried out after the aircraft has completed its operation, serving as an early detection measure for component damage.References
