STUDI PENGGUNAAN LGP 3 KG PADA PANGKALAN DAN KONSUMEN DI KABUPATEN BENGKALIS

Abstract

The Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) currently circulating in society includes variants like the 3 Kg, 12 Kg, and 50 Kg LPG cylinders. The 3 Kg LPG variant itself is subsidized by the Government through Pertamina as part of the initiative to convert kerosene into LPG gas. Through Regent Decree No. 232/KPTS/V/2015 the Bengkalis Regency Government set the Highest Retail Price of 3 kg LPG at Rp.21,500, - but in practice the price paid by consumers is greater than this, on the other hand, several districts directly adjacent to Bengkalis Regency have increased the Highest Retail Price of 3 kg LPG as a result of the increase in certain types of fuel oil, resulting in scarcity of 3 Kg LPG stocks in several sub-districts. For this reason, research was conducted on consumers and LPG sub-distributor with the aim of providing an overview of whether the use and distribution of 3 kg LPG was right on target or not. The results showed that around 70%-80% of respondents bought 3 kg LPG at Retailer with prices greater than the high retail price.
