Abstract

This qualitative case study research aims to explore the needs of vocational EFL (English as A Foreign Language) students during English oral presentation. A total of 30 EFL students were selected using purposive sampling technique then data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and interviews. Furthermore, the data was processed using the Interactive Model Analysis with the stages: data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion. The findings revealed that pronunciation is the most needed language aspect for students during oral presentation in English. This has implications for their confidence when presenting. In addition, audio-video learning media, positive and constructive feedback, as well as training and supporting modules are also their expectations in an effort to improve English oral presentation skills. For this reason, future research is recommended to further examine certain methods or strategies including the preparation/development of modules in an effort to improve English oral presentation skills, especially for vocational EFL students
