INSTALASI CCTV UNTUK MONITORING KEAMANAN MASJID AL ANWAR ANTANG KECAMATAN MANGGALA

The dynamics of the rapid development of science and technology mean that crimes do not depend on place and time. Crime perpetrators are now increasingly reckless in carrying out their actions, regardless of who the potential victim is and their location, even mosques are also targets for theft even though mosques should ideally function as places of worship for Muslims. As time goes by, technology also continues to develop rapidly in providing solutions to problems to prevent theft. One method used to monitor incidents of theft and anticipate acts of theft is by installing surveillance cameras or Closed Circuit Television (CCTV). The Al Anwar Mosque was one of the targets of theft and there were two recorded thefts of charity boxes at the Al Anwar mosque. The Al Anwar Mosque is located on the main entrance route in the Perumnas block 10 Antang area, Manggala sub-district. This condition causes the Al Anwar mosque to become unsafe and to solve this problem, CCTV is needed around the mosque area which can make it easier for mosque administrators to monitor the security and condition of the mosque from afar. The Ujung Padang State Polytechnic (PNUP) service team together with partners, in this case the Al Anwar mosque administrators, agreed to install two CCTV units. This is proof of the PNUP campus' concern for the community outside the campus, especially the Al Anwar mosque administrators and local residents. The two CCTV units installed consist of indoor CCTV and outdoor CCTV, each equipped with 64 GB internal memory with the ability to store data for one month. This CCTV has the ability to automatically reset camera captures so that the memory will always be empty at the beginning of the month. The CCTV installed is IP-based CCTV, making it easier to monitor remotely. Apart from the assistance of 2 CCTV units, the PNUP service team also provided assistance with 1 repeater unit as a signal booster for the internet network from CCTVReferences
