Abstract

Wastewater channels are very important to plan in residential utilities. Not only because of its vital role in distributing objects or substances that are not needed by residential users, even toxic materials. The waste channel is the first channel that must be physically created when the building begins to be erected. The impact is quite large on the layout which should not be close to and interfere with other drinking water/clean water channels. If this happens, channel repairs become more complicated and require quite a lot of money. The construction of SPALS (Simple Waste Water Disposal Channels) is absolutely necessary for local residents as a means of disposing of household waste water and also functions as a ditch when it rains. Poros Sapaya Village is one of the villages in North Polombangkeng District that does not yet have SPALS in every resident's house due to a lack of knowledge and understanding. The current condition of the village is that wastewater or rainwater flows irregularly onto the neighborhood roads, making the surrounding environment muddy, dirty and causing lots of puddles that cause various diseases. The aim of this community service is to carry out SPAL and drainage construction activities. The community service team will apply Internet of Things technology to measure the level of wastewater pollution as information for the Towata Health Center for health data related to residents' household waste. This system is equipped with a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) as a source of electrical energy for measuring the pH sensor and turbidity sensor (water turbidity level) which sends data in real-time. The team hopes that in the future it can make the village cleaner, more beautiful and free from diseases caused by standing dirty water
