PENDAMPINGAN MASYARAKAT TENTANG BUDIDAYA TANAMAN SAYURAN DALAM PEMANFAATAN LAHAN PEKARANGAN DI DESA JIRAK

This Community Service activity raises the issue of optimal use of yard land to support community economic improvement. This activity is oriented towards using yard land for cultivating vegetable plants so that they become products of economic value for the community which are expected to provide ideas for new business opportunities. This activity is packaged in the form of counseling which aims to provide knowledge, skills and experience to the community in utilizing their home gardens so that they can have economic value. Activities were carried out in Jirak Village, Kec. Sajad, Kab. Sambas from July to September 2023. The activity implementation method is divided into 4 stages, namely the preparation stage, implementation stage, evaluation stage, report writing stage. The activity began with initial coordination with the village for Community Service activities as well as providing education regarding the use of yard land to support community economic improvement. The core activities are carried out through the practice of cultivating plants using the verticulture method directly by participants consisting of village officials, farmer groups and the surrounding community. The participants showed high enthusiasm during the activity as shown by the participants' very good response and involvement in every stage of making tools and the process of planting vegetable plants. It is hoped that this can empower the community in the field of cultivating plants that have economic value to the community.
