The Kandea Youth Association is a group of young high school graduates and dropouts living in the Baraya sub-district. Their work backgrounds are very diverse, their salary is not adequate to cover their everyday necessities, and the lack of education and skills they have makes it difficult to earn more. Still, the desire of these members is powerful to attend excavator operator training to make them professional operators. Polytechnics have the resources to implement the program, from improving theory to proficiency in heavy equipment operation. The results of this training were obtained before attending the in-class training. They received an average score of 34.7 points. At the end of the training, they were tested again to get satisfactory results on an average of 78.3 points, increasing their knowledge of heavy equipment, especially excavators. In terms of skills, participants also increased from being unable to operate heavy equipment to being more skilled in using heavy equipment. The participants' enthusiasm to participate in this training is very high, shown by the discipline of following the agreed training schedule. In addition, the participants hope this training will be reproduced in the coming yearsReferences
