PENERAPAN JARINGAN WIFI DI DESA WISATA BUTTA GOWA SEBAGAI UPAYA PENINGKATAN PROMOSI WISATA

Ekowisata Butta Gowa Resort, located in Gowa Regency, that became partner of Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) is one of local tourist destination which offers various interesting tourist facilities. However, problems until the day are there’s no infrastructure of Wi-Fi facilities that enable visitors easily to access the internet, then the partner's level of understanding is still not there regarding determining Wi-Fi network access points for outdoor, and partners do not yet have an excellent quality of Wi-Fi device for use in outdoor. This can affect the quality of tourist locations, because in today's digital era that need for easy and free internet access when visiting a place, especially tourist location has become a special attraction for visitors. Due to the problems, it is necessary to implement Wi-Fi network at the tourist location, with providing and installing Wi-Fi network devices. The implementation method consists of five steps: survey and observation, implementation and installation, assistance and monitoring, evaluation, and output execution. The results obtained were have been installed five access points at three strategic locations in tourist area: gazebo, villa, and canteen. These five access points are able to connect users to internet network.
