PEMANFAATAN PHOTOVOLTAIC SEBAGAI SUMBER ENERGI LISTRIK UNTUK PENERANGAN JALAN UMUM

Abstract

The lack of street lighting in Salomoni, Lipukasi Village, and Barru Regency, makes it difficult for local residents to carry out activities, especially at night. The solution offered based on this problem is to apply photovoltaic (solar panels) as a power plant that will be used by artificial lighting as lighting. The stages of implementing this activity consist of surveys, discussions, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The implementation of activities carried out is the manufacture of Public Street Lighting (PJU) poles, trials, installation, operation training, and handover of PJU. The specifications of the installed PJUs are 20 Wp solar panels, 40 Ah batteries, and 200 W lamps. These PJUs are distributed at 4 points which are points that are prone to crime or points that are considered horror / awful by residents. Socialization of the utilization of photovoltaic technology as a source of electrical energy provides new insights to partners regarding its potential utilization.
