PENINGKATAN KOMPETENSI PRA LOMBA KOMPETENSI SISWA (LKS) BIDANG AUTOMOBILE TECHNOLOGY KEPADA SISWA SMK MUHAMMADIYAH LOAJANAN KUTAI KARTANEGARA KALIMANTAN TIMUR

Abstract

Community Service is one of the Tridharma of Higher Education that must be carried out by lecturers. The Student Competency Competition (LKS) is part of the Government's intervention in ensuring the quality of education in Vocational High School education units. The implementation of LKS aims to measure students' achievement of competency at a certain level according to the Skills competency taken during the learning period at Vocational School. The aim of this community service activity is to support the preparation of vocational school students for the Automotive Engineering Skills Student Competency Competition (LKS) which is held every year and increase the competency achievement of vocational school students. Based on survey results at Muhammadiyah Loajanan Vocational School, there is a Light Vehicle Engineering Department which provides material on tune-up skills and engine management system repairs. This material is not significant enough to face provincial and national level LKS competitions in the field of Automobile Technology. The types of PKM activities that will be carried out include practical tests, diagnostic trouble shooting and general repair, so that later students will be able to compete in LKS competitions
