Abstract

The issue faced by our partners is the low quality of frozen crab products. This is attributed to the temporary storage using styrofoam boxes filled with ice, which does not meet the standards for frozen product storage, and the lack of implementation of occupational health and safety principles in the frozen shrimp production process. Another problem is the use of wooden workbenches, which do not meet hygiene requirements. Through the implementation of this PKM program, the goal is to enhance the production output of the frozen crab business group through the application of appropriate technology. The solution we propose is the use of a freezer machine and workbenches made of stainless steel. The implementation method involves creating specific components and assembling them into products according to the established design. Components such as compressors, electric motors, stainless steel plates, stainless steel pipes, and others are purchased directly from stores. Subsequently, training will be provided to our partners on the operation and maintenance procedures of the freezer machines that will be handed over to them
