Abstract

Desa Tellulimpoe is located Regency of Wajo. Based on survey and discussions with the youth association of Wija Tosora, it was revealed that pedestrian road infrastructure that is technically feasible is a priority necessity for partner societies. However, the obstacle is faced by partner communities is the limited knowledge and skills to realize the necessity of appropriate concrete pedestrian road. The main objective of Community Service program (PM) is partner communities can improve knowledge and skill in conducting bamboo slats reinforcement concrete which can be applied to pedestrian roads. In general, PM activities were carried out in three main activity stages. The initial stage, design activities and specifications for pedestrian road models and preparation activities for tools and materials used in PM activities. Then, the stages of implementing program outreach activities, technical training, and demonstrations for making pedestrian road prototype. The final stage, monitoring and evaluation of program and compiling a technical manual book. The results of PM were concluded that the partner communities had potential knowledge and skills on concreting. Also, concrete pedestrian roads reinforced with bamboo slats can be applied and built by the Desa Tellulimpoe communities and surrounding villages as a sustainability of the program with the support of technical manual book and pedestrian road prototype
