PROGRAM KEMITRAAN MASYARAKAT(PKM) ACIAN DAN PLESTERAN DINDING MASJID HUBBUDDIN MAKASSAR

Abstract

     Hubbuddin Mosque, located on Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan Km 8 No 1, close to Carrefour Transmart Tamalanrea in Makassar, was built around the year 2005 and is used for the five daily prayers and Friday prayers. Every week, employees of Transmart and the Mall M'Tos in Makassar, as well as passersby, gather to worship although the mosque's capacity is only for 100 congregants on a plot of about 250 square meters. The local community has long hoped to build this mosque, but budget constraints have hindered construction. To overcome this, they have organized community service activities through the Community Partnership Program (PKM) named "Acian dan Plesteran Dinding Hubbuddin Makassar." Hubbuddin Mosque is one of the locations in need of wall plastering and rendering assistance. The objectives of this program are: (a) To improve the mosque's appearance in terms of exterior and interior. (b) To protect the mosque from damage due to water, UV rays, mold, dust, and dirt. (c) To enhance the comfort of the congregation during worship. The program is expected to boost the faith and piety of the congregants and to make this mosque a center for worship and social activities. The program is planned to last for 8 months with a budget of about Rp. 10,000,000.
