PENCEGAHAN PENCEMARAN SAMPAH UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS RUMPON NELAYAN SAMBOJA KABUPATEN KUTAI KARTANEGARA

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic country with a strategic plan for developing a maritime-based economic sector integrated with the principles of the blue economy. Improving the quality of people's lives is a central issue of sustainable development. Utilization of fish catches in the sea is a competitive profit for the community. The level of community understanding in waste management so that it is not dumped into the sea is the focus of the problem in this community partnership service activity. Optimizing the role of the community in maintaining the sustainability of the marine ecosystem as a representation of economic independence needs to be a goal and novelty value that must be achieved in order to realize the ideals of the blue economy that supports national economic development through the maritime sector. Assistance and socialization of coastal fishermen's waste management so as not to damage fish aggregating devices (FADs) in Kuala Village, Samboja District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency is carried out by providing assistance to strengthen waste management and its management so as not to pollute the sea where the marine biota ecosystem is located.
