PENERAPAN TEKNOLOGI PENGERINGAN RAMAH LINGKUNGAN PADA PROSES PRODUKSI KERAJINAN ECENG GONDOK DI BATAM

In order to produce water hyacinth crafts in Batam using environmentally friendly drying technology, Batam State Polytechnic is conducting this community service program. As the primary raw material used to make handicrafts, water hyacinth requires an effective drying process to maintain product quality. However, traditional drying methods still widely used by artisans in Batam are often inefficient and negatively impact the environment. In this program, the community service team introduced and implemented a drying technology based on renewable energy that is more efficient and sustainable. This technology helps improve the quality of craft products and reduces the negative impact on the environment. The results of the application of this technology show an increase in productivity and product quality, as well as a significant reduction in drying time. This program is expected to be a model for other artisan communities in the region and contribute to improving local economic welfare by increasing the added value of water hyacinth craft productsReferences
