PENINGKATAN KAPASITAS PRODUKSI MELALUI INOVASI PRODUK DARI BAHAN BAKU TALAS DAN SINGKONG

Fresh agricultural products after harvesting have properties that cannot be stored for long periods. This requires the role of agro-industry. One business unit that processes agricultural products is the Rose Women's Farmer Group (KWT Rose), which is located in Teluk Keramat District, Sambas Regency. KWT Rose produces taro chips and cassava chips. However, production levels have not increased and the marketing area is still limited, where this KWT is not aware of the significance of product diversification of processed taro and cassava in increasing production capacity and has not expanded the marketing area, as well as not knowing the business analysis for processed taro and cassava products. This community service activity consists of socialization, workshops on product diversification of processed taro and cassava, such as taro cookies, cassava sticks, and cassava tela, followed by assistance and coaching, as well as evaluation and monitoring. Based on the results of the conducted PKM, the knowledge and skills of the PKM participants have been achieved at 100%, an increase in understanding of the diversification of processed taro and cassava products, enhanced skills in processing taro and cassava. Therefore, the improvement of the partners' empowerment level both quantitatively and qualitatively in accordance with the issues faced by the partners has been achieved.
