This community service program aimed to enhance the capacity of the Sekar Melati Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Pesawaran Regency through bio-briquette production training as an alternative renewable energy initiative. The program was conducted in three stages: (1) a pre-activity Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to map needs, resources, and market expectations; (2) a pre-test to assess participants’ baseline knowledge and skills; and (3) a post-test combined with evaluation to measure the effectiveness of the training. The results revealed high enthusiasm and active participation from the members, demonstrated by full attendance, interactive discussions, and eagerness to practice bio-briquette making. Analysis of pre-test and post-test scores showed a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge and procedural skills, supported by increased motivation to apply the technology in their community. Moreover, participants expressed their commitment to disseminate the practice to other villagers, positioning themselves as local change agents in promoting renewable energy. This finding highlights that participatory and practice-based training not only improves technical capacity but also fosters community empowerment and self-reliance in sustainable energy utilization.
